Braintree Aiki Budo Kai Aikido Club’s Owen Bolton has won promotion to second Dan black belt in Kendo.
Bolton, who is a senior fourth Dan instructor at the club was awarded his step up after a marathon grading in which he acquitted himself admirably at a martial arts convention in Skegness.
He has been practicing Aikido since 1998 and Kendo since 2004 and runs a Kendo session at the club every fortnight on a Tuesday evening.
