Witham Town are four points from the Ryman League premier division safety zone despite them holding promotion-chasing Dulwich Hamlet to a draw at the Village Glass Stadium.

Their 0-0 draw could provide an invaluable point to Witham in their fight to stay up this year and kept them fourth from bottom in the table on goal difference.

However, results elsewhere mean Garry Kimble’s team are now four points away from the fifth-from-bottom side ahead of their trip to Canvey Island on Easter Monday.

In division one north, BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT kept their hopes of forcing their way into the end-of-season play-offs going with a five-goal demolition of Redbridge.

Regent were boosted last week by news that their North Road ground had met the requirements for division one north football, but James Webster’s team are continuing their push for the next level.

Their 5-1 win at Redbridge came courtesy of braces by Jake Gordon and Ollie Canfer and a strike from Ben Newson and leaves them four points off the play-off places.

Elsewhere in division one north, MALDON & TIPTREE were unable to get one over on their former manager Terry Spillane as his Thamesmead side beat the Jammers 1-0.
