Bird soars in first major
Dickie Bird was the clear winner of Colne Valley Golf Club seniors’ first major piece of silverware of the year – the Bengt Eriksson Trophy.
Bird triumphed with 40 points, from Dennis Gibson and John Thomson, who both had 36 points.
RESULTS: Men’s stableford: 1 Mike Blinman 33pts, 2 Matthew Butler 32pts, 3 Lee Taylor 30pts.
