Witham Town manager Garry Kimble is calling on his attacking players to find their clinical edge in front of goal ahead of their home Ryman League premier division game against Harrow Borough tonight.

Kimble and his team have been buoyed by late comebacks in their previous two games when goals from John Watson have earned them draws against Canvey Island and Maidstone United.

However, Kimble feels they could have got more from both of those games had they taken chances created earlier in them and wants his players to be lethal in front of goal when they host Harrow Borough at the Village Glass Stadium tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

“At the moment, they are working hard, but we aren’t finding the back of the net enough,” said Kimble.

“The players must stand up and be counted.

“In the dressing room after Saturday (at Maidstone), the spirit was there to see, but that is just a point and it’s all about our home form now and we have to take it into three home games coming up.

“That is the only way we can go because the other way is relegation and I don’t want that and the club doesn’t want that.

“So it’s now down to the players to show they don’t want that.”

Tom Wraight is Witham’s only injury doubt tonight and is likely to miss the game against Harrow Borough as he recovers from a back problem picked up during his ongoing trial at Championship side Ipswich Town.
