Witham Town manager Garry Kimble is anticipating making changes to his line-up as they host AFC Sudbury in the Robert Dyas League Cup tonight.
It will be the second game at the Village Glass Stadium in succession for Witham and Kimble knows their pitch is likely to be heavy again as it was for their 1-1 Ryman League premier division draw against VCD Athletic on Saturday.
The Town boss was happy with how the surface played in that game after seeing the previous two home games postponed due to waterlogging, but is still likely to give some tired legs a rest tonight.
“I will make changes because the pitch will be heavy again,” said Kimble.
“Hopefully it will be on as it played OK on Saturday.
“It was a bit boggy, but it’s 11 v 11 and it will be about who wants it more on the day.”
