Witham Dolphins had a number of medal-winners at Braintree and Bocking’s annual Christmas Cracker Gala.

Josh Fowles took gold in the 50 metre freestyle as well as a silver in the 200m freestyle, while Heloise Hall also continued her great form with a gold in the 100m butterfly, silvers in the 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley and a bronze in the 100m medley.

Aoife Marley achieved a second place in the girls’ 50m breaststroke as well as a third in the 100m breaststroke and her brother Callum came third in the 100m butterfly.

Other medal winners included Tyler Tombs, with a third place in the 50m breaststroke, Aiden Wood, with a bronze in the 100m breaststroke, and Maia McPherson, with bronzes in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.

Rory Grimshaw also came home with a bronze in the 50m breaststroke and achieved his first Essex County time.

Other County time achievers included Lily Fletcher, Jasmine Wood – both in the 50m freestyle – and Joe Bentley in the 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke.

There were also some other great swims and personal bests from Frankie and Cameron Brown, Isabelle McPherson, Georgie Tombs, Eleanor Walsh, Anna Godwin, Libby Kinsville, Megan Dolman, Beth Bentley, Rebecca King, Lewis Sackman and Ryan Shaw.
