The Retreat’s 5-2 win against Queen’s Head put them in joint second spot with Cressing, who lost their 100 per cent record with a 4-3 defeat by the Eagle.

Notley Sports won 6-1 against Welsh Princess, while Trevor Wells’s 2-1 win against Matt Suckling saw Bocking close out a 4-3 victory over Wethersfield B and Wethersfield A wrapped up recorded a 4-3 win over Legends with Neil Sanders’ 2-0 win over Tony Tatum.

A 2-1 win against the Football Club kept the Swan unbeaten at the top of the pairs table, while Legends’ 3-0 win at Wethersfield B and the Retreat’s 2-1 win against the Queen’s Head saw them stay three points adrift in joint second.

In the triples, the Retreat stayed top with a win at the Queen’s Head and the Swan moved up to second spot following their win over the Football Club and Cressing’s defeat at the Eagle.

Overall match wins for the Swan and Retreat meant there was no change at the top of the league championship table.

Legends’ Stuart Wicks hit his first 180 of the season and in the ladies’ high shot-out competition, Lynn Kelly recorded an 83 out shot and Emma Totman a 82.
