Luke Callander is confident that Witham Town can help him achieve his goal targets this year.

A hat-trick in Witham’s 4-1 Ryman League premier division win against Bury Town took Town’s new-signing’s tally to five goals from four appearances and he is hoping to further that when they head to Grays Athletic on Saturday and host AFC Hornchurch on Tuesday.

It has been a productive spell for the 29-year-old striker during his loan spell from Chelmsford City and subsequent permanent move from the Clarets and he feels the creativity in Witham’s side will help him continue his rich vein of form.

He said: “Every season I aim to get above 20 goals.

“I know it may be tough this year as I’ve missed part of the season, but I’m confident that I can get goals in this team.

“I’m not setting any massive targets and if they come then they’ll come, but I can see no reason why I can’t as we are creating plenty of chances."
