  • We'll have live updates from the Amlin Stadium as Braintree Town continue their pre-season games with the visit of Championship side Norwich City

That's it and Norwich end as worthy 6-1 winners.

It was comfortable for the Championship side, but a great work-out for Braintree and Alan Devonshire will be able to take a lot from this game.

They're at it again!

Norwich make it 6-1 as Van Wolfswinkel side-foots ball in from close range in the 86th minute

Braintree making multiple changes with plenty of triallists now out there for the Iron.

Players looking to impress Alan Devonshire, but it's all gone a bit flat really.

Kenny Davis' free-kick is headed down by Jordan Cox and slammed home from close range by Sean Marks to make it 5-1.

Goal for Braintree!

Goal - again!

Bradley Johnson drills in a low shot from the edge of the box to make it 5-0 to the Canaries.

It's one-way traffic since half-time.

There was another change for Braintree at the break as Ronnie Hawkins was replaced by Michael Bakare.

Now it's 4-0 as Nathan Redmond fies home from distance and Norwich are cruising.

It was Ricky Van Wolfswinkel who scored Norwich's third goal.

Long ball forward by Canaries is missed completely by Nick Hamann and one of the Norwihc subs tucks it away. He won't have any easier than that this season.

Goal to Norwich in rather comical circumstances!

Back under way here.

Looks like Cox is on for Dan Walker as a change for Braintree at the break.

Braintree preparing to make the inevitabel changes at half-time.

I can see Jordan Cox getting some instructions and I think it may be former Chelmsford City player Michael Bakare coming on as well.

Delia Smith is doing her bit and having her pic taken with Norwich fans at half-time rather than enjoying the hospitality of the Iron boardroom at the break.

Wonder if we'll have Lee Harding come out and try to rally the home crowd with a Delia-style 'let's be having you'?

That's half-time and Norwich lead 2-0.

They deserve every bit of that as they've been excellent, but Braintree have done well and they'll be pleased with a good work-out.

It's certainly better than a lot of the summer pre-season fare that you get!

One minute to be added at end of first half.

One minute to be added at end of first half.

More woodwork action as Lafferty goes close again.

Looping header clatters off the Braintree bar as it stays 2-0.

Game has settled down a bit again but Norwich's class is showing through.

You can see many of these guys were operating in the Premier League last year and it's the type of workout Alan Dveonshire will appreciate for his players.

Pure quality from Kyle Lafferty who proves that the knock he took hasn't affected him at all.

He curls in a free-kick from 25 yards, giving Nick Hamann no chance, for a 2-0 lead after 24 minutes.

It's 2-0 to the Canaries.

Bit of a delay as Lafferty receives treatment after colliding with Hamann but he is OK to continue.

Norwich start with John Ruddy, Bradley Johnson, Russell Martin, Michael Turner, Jonny Howson, Kyle Lafferty, Gary Hooper, Wes Hoolahan, Elliott Bennett, Martin Olsson, Andrew Surman.

Braintree have settled well since conceding early and a good break ends with Sean Marks hitting the outside of John Ruddy's post, but it stays 1-0 to Norwich

Both teams name strong starting line-ups for tonight's game.

Braintree start with Nick Hamann, Ryan Case, Sam Habergham, Chez Issac, Matt Paine, Alan Massey, James Mulley, Kenny Davis, Sean Marks, Dan Walker, Ronnie Hawkins.

Subs are: Nathan McDonald, Carl Pentney, Emmanuel Monthe, Shaun Preddie, Jordan Cox, Michael Bakare, Cherno Mendy, Elias Moses, Harrison Georgiou, Frank Murrayfield.

We're under way here at the Amlin Stadium and the visitors are already ahead!

A neat move down the right in the seventh minute sees Braintree's defence stretched and Andrew Surman tucks the ball away to put the Canaries 1-0 ahead.
