With Max Cornhill injured on the floor, Braintree press on and James Mulley works his way into the box before pulling the ball back, but Jordan Cox's shot is weak and Julian easily collects.
The Darts are lookign far more threatening this half and the Iron's defence have their work cut out.
There has also been a change for Dartford as Bradbrook replaces Noble.
Southport back in front against Gateshead which is good news for Braintree.

Dartford aren't lying down in this game and are trying to push on where they can but they trail 1-0 with three minutes remaining of the half.

Somehow it stays 1-0 as Alan Julian saves with his feet from a point-blank shot by Sean Marks from a corner. Instinctive stop by the Darts keeper keeps his team in the game. Braintree are looking far more composed now since the goal.
That goal was sweet as a nut after 23 minutes of some pretty tame stuff! Kenny Davis controlled the knock down by Sean Marks and slammed the ball home on the half vollyey past Alan Julian from 25 yards. Julian had no chance and the Iron are ahead.

It's still 0-0 but play is starting to open up a bit. Sean Marks finds space in the Darts box but can't get final shot away and chance goes then Danny Harris breaks clear but scuffs his shot and the ball bobbles away harmlessly.
Gateshead are trailing at home against Southport which is just what Braintree will want to see.

Braintree are effectively playing a 4-5-1 today. Back four of Habergham, Wells, Massey and Peters. Matt Paine is sitting just in front of them in midfield with Mulley and Sparkes out wide on the right and left respectively and Isaac and Davis in the middle. Davis is the more advanced of those two and looking to link-up with Marks up top.

Team news for Braintree is that bos Alan Devonshire has made three changes from Tuesday's 0-0 draw against Gateshead. The previously suspended trio of Nick Hamann, Kenny Davis and Sean Marks all come straight back in for the Iron.
