Braintree and Bocking Swimming Club’s Scarlett Merrell was in gold medal-winning form when she represented the East Region at the National Junior and Youth Disability Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
The 16-year-old Braintree star achieved gold in the 4x100 metre medley team relay alongside Paralympic gold medalist, Jess Jane Applegate, who broke three British records over the weekend.
