9:36pm

That's it. The referee's whistle goes after four minutes added time and Lincoln have won 2-0.

9:28pm

Now Dan Sparkes joins Kenny Davis in the referee's notebook as a bit of frustration creeps in. The officials aren't winning too many friends here.

9:24pm

Caution for Kenny Davis on Sheridan but should really have been a free-kick the other way after foul on Dan Sparkes seconds before.

9:17pm

Goal for Lincoln as they hit Braintree on the break. It's a lovely finish by Jake Sheridan in the 76th minute as he drills a shot past Hamann from 20 yards. Long way back for the Iron now.

9:10pm

Dan Holman flashes a shot wide as Braintree keep pressing. Lincoln seem happy to be breaking on the counter-attack.

9:09pm

Third sub for Braintree as Chez Isaac replaces Josh Laurent. 70 mins gone and it's still 1-0 to the visitors.

9:07pm

8:44pm

Back under way here at the Amlin Stadium.

8:38pm

It was a fairly even first half and the consensus in the press box is that Braintree can feel slightly aggrieved to be trailing at half-time. They need to deal with set plays better but there are goals for them here as they've looked the better side from open play.

8:31pm

Half time and Lincoln are leading 1-0. It's not pretty but it has been effective so far as the Imps have used the height in their team to good effect. All to do for the Iron after the break.

8:29pm

Decent response by Braintree to falling behind. Dan Holman's shot flashes past the post.

8:21pm

Goal for Lincoln as Luke Foster heads in from a corner on 37 mins.

8:17pm

Kenny Davis' cross from the left is perfectly weighted but no-one can get the telling touch to turn it goal wards. 35 mins gone and it's still 0-0.

8:10pm

Great break for Braintree in 26th minute as Mensah carries the ball forward. Eventually Holman gets a shot away from the edge of the box but Townsend safely gathers.

8:04pm

Decent chance for Lincoln in 20th minute as ball beaks to Sean Newton but Ryan Peters closes him down enough for him to only spear his shot into the turf and it bounces kindly for Nick Hamann to make an easy save.

7:55pm

All a bit quiet here really with not too much to trouble either keeper. Lincoln's main threats so far have come with long throws into the Braintree box as they look to use their abundant height.

7:45pm

Early free-kick attempt by Kenny Davis but it's straight into the arms of Lincoln keeper Nick Townsend

7:43pm

7:42pm

Lincoln start with Townsend, Miller, Newton, Jordan, Audel, Rowe, Tomlinson, Sheridan, Gray, Mendy, Foster. Subs are Dixon, Nolan, Simmns, Adams and Preece.
