Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire feels skipper Kenny Davis may not be fit for tonight's Skrill Premier trip to Forest Green Rovers.

Davis was substituted at half-time during the Iron's 3-0 win against Wrexham on Tuesday after stretching his groin and was taken off as a precaution, but Devonshire didn’t think he would be fit to return for tonight’s game.

The Iron boss also thought James Mulley would struggle to be fit as he recovered from a dead leg picked up in the 1-1 draw with Hereford last weekend.

Jordan Cox is another battling for fitness as he tries to overcome a back problem.

Devonshire said: “Jordan will be about another week.

“I wanted him back for Lincoln (on Saturday) because they are a big physical side, but we’ll have to wait and see really on him.”
