Watford strike Bernard Mensah has extended his loan spell at Braintree Town until the end of the season and has been joined at the Amlin Stadium by another young Hornets forward.

Second-year Academy scholar Alex Jakubiak has joined the Iron on loan until April 13, while Mensah’s existing deal has been extended until the end of the season.

Mensah has made four starts and one substitute appearance so far during an impressive spell at Braintree when he had scored one goal as well as setting up three others.
