Despite the punishing list of fixtures that lie ahead of Witham Town before the end of April, manager Garry Kimble feels they have one big factor in their favour.

Town face three or even four Ryman League games a week between now and the end of the season after a run of postponements left them with a backlog of fixtures and it is going to be a big ask for them to fulfil their aim of claiming the division one north title this year.

However, out of the 21 games to be fitted into the next eight weeks, 12 will be at the Village Glass Stadium.

Kimble said: “It’s going to be tough playing as many games as we’ve got, but I think having the majority at home moves the advantage back our way.”

Witham don’t have a home game tomorrow, though, as they head to Aveley in the league (kick-off 3pm), before another fixture at the Village Glass Stadium on Tuesday when Barkingside will be the visitors (kick-off 7.45pm).
