Bernard Mensah said he would welcome the opportunity to stay at Braintree Town beyond his current one-month loan spell.

The 19-year-old is on loan at the Iron from Championship side Watford and has already made a significant impact – just like his good friend Britt Assombalonga did during his loan period at the Amlin Stadium two years ago.

Mensah has set up all three goals in Braintree’s last two games – a 2-2 Skrill Premier draw at Kidderminster Harriers last weekend and a 1-0 home win against Cambridge United on Tuesday – and is happy to be playing his part.
