That's it! Braintree win 1-0 thanks to Dan Sparkes' lone goal in the 67th minute.

Five extra minutes announced.

James Mulley's excellent header clawed away by U's keeper Norris to keep it at 1-0.

Bookings for Sean Marks and Tom Bonner after coming together. Refs report getting longer and longer!

Now Ryan Peters booked for foul. Travelling supporters thought yellow should have been red though.

Caution for Habergham for time wasting at a throw-in. Nine mins to go still 1-0 to Iron.

Cambridge looking for a way back in but the orange back line is holding firm at the moment. Still 1-0 to Braintree.

GOAL Dan Sparkes puts Braintree ahead in 67 th minute. Side foots home after excellent run by Bernard Mensah cutting in from the left. 1-0 to the Iron.

Cambridge fail to take gilt-edged chance as Ryan Bird couldn't connect with loose ball that runs free in box after attempted clearance by a Braintree boot.

Sub for Braintree to start second half as Dan Sparkes on for Kenny Davis.

Teams coming out for start of second half. Hopefully the action will be more compelling this half.

It is! Goalless 45 mins between Braintree and Cambridge.

Just 1 min added time. Looks as if it will be goalless at half-time.

Booking for Matt Paine for foul on 35 mins. Liam Hughes' free-kick almost finds a way through but Nick Hamann makes the save.

Cambridge line up with Norris, Roberts, Taylor, Coulson, Bonner, Champion, Pugh, Hughes, Berry, Bird, Barnes-Homer. Subs are Sullivan, Tait, Chambers, Arnold, Gilles.

Braintree side tonight is Hamann, Wells Massey, Peters, Habergham, Davis, Paine, Laurent, Mulley, Marks, Mensah. Subs are McDonald, Long, Holman, Sparkes, Daley.

Game has settled down a bit now and neither keeper being tested too much

Mensah goes close again on 15 mins but shot flies just across the face of Norris' goal. Iron looking brighter of the two now.

9th minute good chance for Braintree as Massey's header down is met by Mensah but he lifts shot over the bar.

First meaningful effort comes from Braintree in 6th minute as Josh Laurent fires from edge of box but straight into arms of U's keeper will Norris

Braintree are unchanged from starting 11 that drew 2-2 at Kidderminster on Saturday.

It's a bright start by Cambridge who are being cheered on by vocal and sizeable travelling support
