The junior events at the Braintree Table Tennis League individual tournament produced one of the highest entries for many years.
Entry was almost exclusively made up of players who attend league coaching sessions but have not yet made their debuts in the league.
Patrick Gilbert, an established first division player, had no difficulty regaining the junior boys’ singles that he won in 2012.
