Amid all the disappointment of seeing his team fall further and further behind their Skrill Premier rivals in the number of games played, there has at least been one piece of bright news for Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire.
The Iron boss is growing increasingly frustrated as his team have seen game after game – both home and away – get postponed due to waterlogged piches.
However, he has been boosted ahead of tomorrow’s league game at Kidderminster Harriers by the news that skipper Kenny Davis won’t have to serve the suspension that the club thought he would.
Devonshire said: “It’s great news that Kenny is available as he is a big player for us.
“It’s a real bonus.
“In fact it’s probably the only good news I’ve had in the last seven weeks."
