Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire has added Brentford midfielder Josh Clarke to his squad on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old has linked up with Braintree ahead of tomorrow’s Skrill Premier trip to FC Halifax Town.
Having come through the Bees’ youth system, Clarke signed a one-year professional contract last summer and has made two first-team appearances so far.
He made his debut in Brentford’s Capital One Cup 5-0 defeat by Derby County and also featured in a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy game against Peterborough United.
He has also had loan spells at Maidenhead United in the Skrill South and Carshalton Athletic in Ryman League premier division.
Devonshire has moved to bolster his midfield options with skipper Kenny Davis due to begin a suspension and Chez Isaac out with a knee ligament injury.
