Garry Kimble feels it will be “an absolute miracle” if his Witham Town team can win the Ryman League division one north title this year.

Despite still being tipped as title favourites by some, Witham boss Kimble thinks the likelihood of his team claiming the top spot at the end of April is receding with every postponed fixture.

The Witham boss said: “It will hit our promotion push.

“You have to have a strong squad, which we do have, but no-one can play that many games a week and hope to keep winning."

Witham have lost games at AFC Sudbury and Needham Market to waterlogged pitches in the last week and are keeping their fingers crossed that tomorrow's home game against Waltham Abbey (kick-off 3pm) won’t go the same way.
