Braintree Town are organising a working party at their Amlin Stadium ground on Sunday, with fans being asked to help dig drainage holes on the pitch.
Chairman Lee Harding said the club is trying to alleviate the current waterlogging problems that have seen a number of recent games postponed and they are hoping to enlist the help of fans to improve the situation.
Harding said: “It would be great if anyone could spare a few hours to help us.
"We want to dig some holes and fill them with sand to help the drainage situation.
"Of course, post-graft free beer will be provided in the usual Braintree way."
