Another Witham fixture gets postponed by a waterlogged pitch

First published in Sport by

A waterlogged pitch at the Village Glass Stadium has continued to frustrate Witham Town.

Garry Kimble's side have not been able to have a home fixture since December 7 because of the soggy playing surface and it has now caused another game to be postponed.

They were due to host Cheshunt in Ryman League division one north today, but that has now been called off after a pitch inspection.

It means Witham's next game will be their home league game against Tilbury on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
