Early call on Witham's pitch as New Year's Day game is postponed
Witham Town's New Year's Day fixture against Barkingside has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Village Glass Stadium.
The club had expected to hold a pitch inspection at 8.30am tomorrow to see if the surface would be playable, but it has already been decided that it won't be and the game has been postponed.
It means Witham's next game is in Ryman League division one north at Thurrock on Saturday.
Their next home game is due to be against AFC Sudbury on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
