BRAINTREE Rugby Club first team manager Steve Tame admitted their margin of victory over Stowmarket should have been greater – but had no complaints about the result.

The Black and Ambers ran out 44-21 winners in their London North East Two encounter at Robbs Wood.

Braintree were totally dominant in the first half and looked like they were crusing to victory but almost threw the points away with a lacklustre display after the break.

Tame said: “The boys played well for an hour and did enough to earn a deserved win.

“We took our foot off the pedals late in the game though and allowed Stowmarket to make the final result closer than it should have been.

“But the lads gave their all and you can’t complain about a seven-try victory against a well-organised side.”

Braintree are back in action this weekend when they travel to take on Enfield Ignatian.
