Habergham injury is a blow for Iron
BRAINTREE Town have been dealt an injury blow after defender Sam Habergham was ruled out for around three weeks with ankle ligament damage.
The reliable left-back, who has been a consistent performer for Iron over the last two seasons, suffered the injury in the first half of his side’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round triumph over Weymouth, last weekend.
Habergham will definitely miss Braintree’s match this weekend.
And he could also have to sit out Iron’s FA Cup first-round proper tie against League Two outfit Newport County, along with their league games against Luton Town and Alfreton Town.
Braintree boss Alan Devonshire said that Newman Carney will replace Habergham in their starting line-up this weekend.
