Braintree move back into the play-off positions
Braintree Town eased to a straightforward victory against Chester in the Skrill Premier as they won 3-0 at the Amlin Stadium.
The Iron grabbed an early advantage thanks to two goals in the first six minutes by Charlie Strutton, who was playing his last game of a loan spell at Braintree before heading back to his parent club AFC Wimbledon.
Dean Wells then made it 3-0 just before the half-hour mark to make things very comfortable for the hosts.
Two sendings-off for Chester made things even more straightforward after the break as Paul Linwood and Lee Pugh were dismissed, but there were no more goals.
The three points did take Braintree back up into the Skrill Premier play-off zone, though, as Alan Devonshire's side went fourh.
