Symons leaves Braintree to join Stortford
Nicky Symons has left Braintree Town to link up with his former manager Road Stringer at Bishop's Stortford.
The 25-year-old had only made one appearance for the Iron in the current Skrill Premier campaign - as a 70th minute substitute in the 1-0 home defeat by Kidderminster Harriers - but appeared 35 times last season and scored one goal, a memorable long-range strike at Woking.
Symons had been at the Amlin Stadium for three seasons and played a part in Braintree's elevation to the Conference Premier as they won the Conference South title in 2010/11 under their then manager Stringer.
