Braintree Town may include a new face when they line up at Hartlepool United's Victoria Park ground today to face Gateshead in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Iron manager Alan Devonshire has added 18-yera-old Leicester City centre-half Steven Smith to his squad on a one-month loan deal from the Championship side.
Smith will be available for today's game at Hartlepool.
He is a graduate of the Leicester City Academy and has been a regular with the Foxes' Under-21 side this season as well as recently having a loan spell at Ilkeston Town recently.
