Witham Town moved up to seventh in the Ryman League division one north table with a 2-0 win at Chatham Town.

Two goals from the head of Rob Whitnell sealed Witham's seventh victory on the road this year and lifted them two places in the standings.

Witham have a chance to improve their away record even more on Saturday when they head to Aveley.

Manager Garry Kimble said goalkeeper Danny Sambridge is a doubt for the game as he recovers from a knee problem.
