Witham Town had another second half to forget as they saw their four-game unbeaten run in the Ryman League division one north brought to an end by Redbridge.

The hosts led 1-0 at the break thanks to a goal by Rob Whitnell, but just as they had done in their 2-2 draw with Harlow Town seven days previously, Witham were unable to hold on to an advantage in the second 45 minutes.

The Motormen belied their lowly league position and staged a recovery that saw goals by Jacob Cleaver and Ryan Reed snatch the points.

Witham had enough efforts on goal to get something after the break, but could find no way past the visiting keeper.

They now have three back-to-back games on the road, starting with a trip to Romford on Saturday.
