Garry Kimble thinks his Witham Town team will be a different proposition for Ryman One North high-fliers Heybridge Swifts at Spa Road tomorrow than the last time they met their local rivals.
Witham were struggling for form when they were beaten 3-1 at Scraley Road in October, but their 4-2 win at Ware last Saturday was their seventh in their last ten league outings and the Town boss is expecting a different game against Swifts this time around.
Kimble said: “I know Heybridge are in some good form at the moment, but we’ll be a totally different proposition because we are a different team now.
“I didn’t have Rob Whitnell available when we played them before and I’ve also got Richard Manning and Emeke (Onwubiko) come in since we faced them.
“They are all big players for us and hopefully we’ll be able to turn the tables this time.”
Lewis Godbold will return for Witham in central midfield after a three-match suspension, but John Watson is unavailable due to personal commitments.
Swifts boss Mark Hawkes has a fully-fit squad to choose from and is looking forward to his team’s first visit to Spa Road since 1989.
Hawkes added: “It’s another great opportunity to put distance between ourselves and one of the teams just outside the top five.
“Witham will be wary of our goal threat and we’ll have to match their work-rate and commitment.”
