BRAINTREE Town looked to make early amends for their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Cambridge United last Saturday.
However, they couldn’t turn around that defeat as they lost out 1-0 in the return Conference Premier fixture on New Year’s Day at the Abbey Stadium.
The first half finished goal-less and the Iron made a bright start to the second period.
But the home side began to come more into the game and Curtis Haynes-Brown had an effort saved by Naisbitt on 69 minutes.
United then made their pressure pay when Michael Gash fired home into the bottom left-hand corner from inside the penalty area four minutes later for the win
