WITHAM Town boss Garry Kimble could be forced to re-evaluate his goals for this season.

Survival was the sole objective when his side won promotion to Ryman One North last season, having cantered to the Essex Senior League title.

But such is their form in recent weeks that he admits a play-off push isn’t out of the question.

Town are unbeaten in four games, having lost just one in seven.

Their sparkling form meant they were just four points behind fifth-placed Thamesmead.

“At the start of the season, it was all about surviving in the division,” said Kimble.

“But while I’m determined not to get carried away, on current form we’re capable of securing a play-off place.

“If I keep getting the same levels of commitment and desire, then it’s certainly not out of the question.

“And if we’re still well-placed after Christmas, it could prove a very exciting 2013.

“I’m so pleased with my players at the moment and they’re making me proud.

“I’m a passionate man when it comes to football but I can honestly say this current run of form has left a lump in my throat.

“I really couldn’t be happier and the players deserve so much credit, because they’ve really turned things around.

“They’re giving me everything in terms of work-rate and commitment.”

Witham are at home to Romford on Saturday.
