Iron fixture is washed away

BRAINTREE Town were left kicking their heels on Saturday as their Blue Square Bet premier fixture was washed away.
The Iron had been due to entertain Wrexham but a downpour at lunch-time left the pitch waterlogged.
Before a pitch inspection at the Amlin Stadium at 1.30pm the heavens opened again.
The referee declared the pitch to be unfit and the match will now have to be rescheduled.
