Clubber left with broken jaw following attack in Southend

A CLUBBER has been left with a broken jaw after he was attacked at a Southend nightspot.

The 21-year-old victim was out on a night out with friends at Churchills, in in Tylers Avenue, when he was punched in the face.

The blow broke his jaw in two places.

The man, who is a student from Rochford, is currently detained at Broomfield Hospital awaiting surgery.

The incident happened on the danceflorr at about 2.45am on Saturday April 28 and the police are appealing for witnesses.

The suspect was white, about 6ft tall and heavily built and he had short dark brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt.
