THE man who brought you the hit There's Nothing Like This is on his way back to Leigh, to play at the popular Tongue and Groove event.

Just having released his eight album, Omar - a multi instrumentalist with a unique soulful voice - is back at the gig held at the Boatyard in Leigh, but what is said to be "huge popular demand".

Vocalist and Tongue and Groove organiser, Ria Currie, said: "Omar and his incredible band always sell out at London's Jazz Cafe and last time he was here, he went down so well.

"He has working with some of the biggest names in the world, such as Stevie Wonder, Angie Stone, Mica Paris, Leon Ware and Courtney Pine.

"This event will give the audience a chance to get up close and personal with a man who stays firmly at the top of his game."

She added: "Fresh from his shows with Incognito, he will be performing his show for us on August 26, bank holiday Sunday, from 8pm-1am

at The Boatyard, Leigh.

"The venue has a 60ft outside decking area over the sea, where you can enjoy drinks before you watch the show.

"DJ support on the night comes from the Urban Allstars who will certainly keep you moving on the dance floor."

There are two types of tickets: Lounge tickets for £20 or dining tickets for £50, which includes a four course meal and waiter service.
