STAFF at a care home are celebrating after they were rated Outstanding again by a health watchdog.

Woodbury Court, Tavistock Road, Laindon, received the news following an inspection from the Care Quality Commission.

Inspectors found the leadership of the care home is Outstanding.

Woodbury Court, owned by Runwood Homes, provides care and accommodation for up to 94 people who need assistance with personal care and are living with Dementia.

The inspection took place after concerns were raised regarding the quality of care people receive when they need medical intervention.

Despite these concerns, the health watchdog inspectors found no risks, concerns or significant improvements needed at the service.

The report states: “The provider and registered manager had been able to sustain and further develop their approach to providing quality care since our last inspection.

“The registered manager and deputy manager had developed an excellent rapport with both people and staff.”

The ratings from the previous comprehensive inspection were included in calculating the overall rating in this inspection.

The care home in Laindon was also rated as Outstanding in January 2017.

Bosses said they are so happy with the latest report.

Abdul Chirwa, Home Manager said: “I am really pleased with the outcome and many thanks to my team who have made this to happen.

“We will continue to improve through innovation, activities and invest in staff training. We also continue to work closely with Social Workers, GP Surgeries, Community Churches, Schools and other professionals to provide highest quality care at Woodbury Court.”
