The inquest into the death of Chris May has opened this morning. 

Chris May, from Kelvedon, went missing on May 25, 2015, aged 28. 

His car was found two days later in Troy's Chase, Fairstead. 

His family issued many appeals over the years he was missing and Essex Police declared the investigation a murder without a body. 

BODY FOUND IN SEARCH FOR CHRIS MAY

His body was found by a member of the public in woodland a short distance away in Faulkbourne on Sunday, May 13.

The inquest into his death opened this morning at 9.30am in Seax House.

The court heard Mr May's death is "unascertained", meaning it has not been possible to determine a cause of death from the post-mortem. 

A full inquest will be carried out on August 22.

He was found in woodland on Troys Farm in Faulkbourne.
