A public meeting and peace march will take place in Southend today in response to the fatal stabbing of Fabian Kacica.
Essex Police are hosting a public meeting at 12pm today at The Forum, in Southend town centre, which will include representatives from Southend Council, senior police officers and leading memebers of the community.
Southend rapper Sonny Green has also organised a march down the high street, beginning at 1pm today, as a gesture of solidarity to show the community coming together.
The march will begin following the public meeting in The Forum, meeting outside WH Smith's in Southend High Street and then proceed down the High Street to the top of Pier Hill.
As well as demonstrating community spirit after the fatal stabbing of Fabian Kacica, 19, on Monday, campaigners also hope to restate the importance of a greater police presence in Southend in order to prevent future violent incidents.
