A man has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision in which two pedestrians were seriously injured.
Liam Jones, 25, of Markhams Chase, Laindon, has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a collision on Wednesday, May 16.
A 65-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl were taken to hospital following the collision in Coronation Avenue, East Tilbury.
Jones has also been charged with failing to stop after a collision, aggravated vehicle taking, drink-driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, driving without insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
