DETECTIVES are hunting for an armed robber who raided a store for a bottle of wine.

Police are appealing to the public for help and are asking anyone that may recognise this man, who may have vital information, to come forward after a man robbed the store armed with a knife.

The incident took place at Laindon Premier Store, Hoover Drive, Laindon.

A man entered the shop at 7.10am on Friday, April 13 and took a bottle of wine without paying.

A member of staff attempted to stop him from leaving the store but the suspect held up a knife before leaving the shop with the wine.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was not injured during the incident at the shop, which is located on a busy housing estate.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We want to hear from anyone who can identify the man pictured, or has any information that could assist with our investigation.
