A MAN is taking on a 52-mile walk across two days in memory of his father and in aid of a charity close to his family’s heart.

Stewart Lister, 52, of Thundersley, lost his dad, Kenneth, to lung cancer in 2013. He will embark on the walk to remember his dad and is raising money for the EPUT mental health unit in Rochford where his wife, Kirsty, works, to help it set up an allotment and therapy garden.

He will be joined by friends Nigel Lewis who is raising money for British Heart Foundation and Steve Carr, of Leigh, who is raising money for Adoption UK.

Mr Lister and his father are Ipswich fans so he decided to walk to Ipswich Football Club. Visit justgiving.com/crowdfunding/stewart-lister
