Two men and a 16-year-old boy, have been charged following a robbery in Westcliff on February 25. 

Around 7pm, two men and a teenage boy approached two 15-year-old boys in Chalkwell Park on London Road. 

They threatened the boys with a knife and demanded they hand over a number of personal items including jewellery and a pushbike. 

No one was injured during the incident and all property has now been returned to the victims. 

Scott Taylor, 18, of Leighwood Avenue, Leigh, has been charged with robbery and receiving stolen goods and will appear at Southend Magistrate’s Court today, March 8.

Carl Wood, 20, of no fixed abode, has been charged robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public.

He has been remanded in custody until March 28, when he is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court.

A 16-year-old boy from Leigh has been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and blackmail. He is due to appear at Southend Magistrate’s Court on May 24 and has been released on bail.
