At around 9.25pm on Thursday, December 28, Bishop smashed a window at Stapleford Abbots Golf Club, in Tysea Hill, and stole a club trophy and a coffee machine. He then broken into a business in Bournebridge Lane at 11.40pm and stole a number of computers and printers before driving off.

Essex Police arrested Bishop on Saturday, January 13, and he was later charged and put before a court.
Bishop had previously received a 12-week prison sentence, suspended

for 12 months, at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 18, after admitting to burgling a business in Chelmsford Road, Shenfield, on Monday, August 14.

Investigating officer Pc Lewis James said: “Bishop is a prolific burglar who targets businesses for his own gain without any consideration of the emotional and financial loss on the victims.

“The businesses affected had to replace the items that he stole and repair the damage that he caused. The total loss to both businesses was well within a five-figure sum.

“Bishop has shown no remorse and showed complete disregard to his previous sentence and will now spend time locked in a prison cell.”
