Police investigating a burglary in Westcliff have released a further CCTV image of a man they would like to talk to.

As previously reported by the Echo, shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday, February 13, entry was forced into a house on Elderton Road and a number of items stolen from the address.

The thieves smashed through the kitchen window of the property, opening it from the inside, and searched through her home, taking precious jewellery and a collection of sentimental goods which the victim described as “irreplaceable”.

Among the items taken was her wedding and engagement rings, as well as a collection of iPads and the woman’s laptop, which had pictures of the children, all under the age of ten, as they have grown up.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man is asked to contact Dc Andrew Coles at Southend CID on 101. Please reference incident 42/20923/18.
