Casualty star Lee Mead took to the roof of Southend's Cliffs Pavilion to launch this year's panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.
He was joined by TV personality Stacey Solomon, comedian Bobby Davro and actor Robin Askwith, who will all feature in this year's production.
The panto promises a "spectacular 3D sequence transporting audiences to the Giant's magical kingdom, larger-then-life special effects, huge laughs, magnificent musical numbers and lashings of audience participation".
Performances start on Saturday December 16 and finish on Sunday January 7. Tickets range from £20.50 to £38.50, with £3 concessions available.
There will be a "Relaxed Performance" on Friday January 5 2018 at 2.15pm which is suitable for customers with learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder or anyone who may benefit from a more flexible theatre experience! Everyone is welcome, but there is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and elements of the show will be adapted to suit the setting.
