SEVEN fire engines were needed to tackle a fire in a large commercial outbuilding overnight.
Firefighters were called to a fire in a large commercial outbuilding on Wiggins Lane, Billericay at just gone midnight.
When fire crews arrived they found the building was completely on fire.
Six additional fire engines were requested, plus a Water Bowser, a large tanker containing water, as there was a poor water supply near the incident.
The building is thought to be used for storage and also contained a car, and possibily cylinders and fuel.
At 2am the officer in charge reported the fire was under control.
A fire crew from Billericay, two from Badildon, one from Wickford, another from Orsett and one from Rayleigh Weir all attended, as well as the Water Bowser from Chelmsford.
