A MOTHER-OF-TWO claimed she was sacked from her job because the recruitment agency believed she was too fat.

Size 14 Jade Garner, 30, from Billericay, worked as a part-time barmaid selling £3.50 Jagerbombs for the pub chain, Yates.

The pub uses an employment agency, Elless Promotions, which reportedly uses a secret policy of hiring staff members based on “good-looking” criteria.

Successful candidates need to score at least seven out of ten for their looks.

Elless Promotions posted a picture of a larger woman on Facebook with the comment: “This really isn’t suitable for staff is it?”

The post angered Ms Garner, who told The Sun: “Doing the shot job really built up my confidence. And now I just feel humiliated.”

She claimed the recruitment agency uploaded a photo of her and had several nasty text message conversations about her on WhatsApp.

One staff member from the agency reportedly suggested she would help the area managers sack “ugly girls”.

The message allegedly said: “Are we surprised that has been a complaint?” Another colleague responded: “She’s huge.”

A spokesman for Yates said: “We are unable to comment on the recruitment or management policies of Elless Promotions but it is our understanding that the area manager in question was an employee of theirs and is no longer working for them.

“We have received no direct complaints in regard to their work for us but as part of our own due diligence have launched our own investigation on their approach.”

Elless Promotions was also contacted for a comment. They were unable to provide one before we went to print.
