HUNDREDS of people flocked to the annual Orsett Show.

The popular attraction has been held for more than 100 years, with the 111th show taking place on Saturday at the showground in Thurrock.

At the show, there are marquees featuring horticulture, agriculture, hobbies and handicrafts, schools, craft Stalls and more than 150 trade stands.

There was also an ever-changing programme of exciting displays in the grand display ring, including BMX bike demonstrations, steam engines, farming through the years, a dog display team, shire horses and birds of prey.

Those brave enough could also enjoy a helicopter ride to se Orsett from the air, and there was also farm machinery and farm animals.

There were also a number of events and competitions taking place throughout the day in the horse rings including jumping and carriage driving.

This year there was also a classic car display, with hundreds of cars turning out for the event.

As well as the ring attractions, people could also enjoy a number of fun activities such as wall climbing, zorbing and trampolines.

There were also stalls from the Essex Beekeepers Association, WI and many others.

Live music was put on by local groups and bands throughout the event.
